Boho Summertime

The boho look is my favourite I love the easy laid back style of it and the different textures and natural colours used. The video I take inspiration from is the "I hate this part" music video by the pussycat dolls it has a boho natural feel about it. I also loved the key earings shown in one of the pictures above which were featured on this video. I found the top pictures and loved them straight away!
The look is about being laid back and this also includes the hair, in both the video and these pictures the hair was long and messy with a slight wave. Nicole scherzinger had feathers in her hair and I think that this looks really good in her black, long, thick hair.

1970's comeback!

The original Floppy hat
The 70's flare (Charlies angels!)
Chloe campaigns 70's/80's inspired

More Chloe Campaigns

A look I love this season is the 1970's retake, with comebacks such as the felt floppy hat as shown in the first picture (which I love!) and the flaire as shown by the angels in the second picture.I was interested in this look in 2010 when the Chloe ranges s/s and a/w was 70's/80's inspired by using natural colours I also loved the hair and beauty on the a/w catwalk.

Erdem Hair

The style from the back

The look during the show
For a recent Erdem fashion show the hair and beauty theme was laid back and naturally gorgeous.
The star of the show however was the hair which had been plaited into an angelic halo around the head with exaggerated pulled out strands in order to make it look natural and girly. This was helped along by the very natural looking make-up which included no or hardly any mascara.I thought that this look is the type of thing I would love to recreate, especially the rosy glow of pink on the cheeks as it makes the look so fresh. I especially love the hair in the top picture however, especially the colour!
To recreate this look you could use a similar style which is milkmaid braids. To do this simply part your hair into two and braid each side into a normal plait. Then you simply put them both onto the top of your head ans secure with bobby pins. This would be much easier than the halo braids shown!

Real life comic book!

The finished look

The progression of the look

Real life vs Comic
This look isnt really that influential because I don't think I shall be recreating this look at home, however I came across this on the internet and thought it was really different and striking .This look was created by Mac on the inspiration of retro iconic comic book heroines. They have simulated everything from the pixelled face to the pixelled clothing which I think is totally individual and I really quite like, in fact love!
It is also very clever how they have used their make-up to draw along the outline of her face and neck to give the appearance of it being drawn by a marker pen. They have even followed the models hairline to really set off the bright yellow hair.

Flowered Harems

Ferne cotton emerging from radio1

Another view
Harem pants were around last summer when they first took centre stage as the trousar of the year, they are still as fashionable this year and these are a pair of harem pants that I bought. They are exactly the same as Ferne Cottons as shown but they were really cheap. I think that they are worn well by Ferne Cotton what do you think?
I also have to say that I love Fernes hair here!

The Claw Bracelet

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld

The Gold Version

The Three Designs

I thought that this claw bracelet was quite strange at first but I actually really like it now, I belive its made by Pamela Love. I just thought that it was a piece of jewellery that is quite unusual but looks quite cool on. I seem to prefer jewellery that is unusual and quite textural or tribal to sparkly jewellery because it gives a modern boho vibe.

Back to Basics

This is a collection of boyfriend, oversized style tops and shirts that caught my eye. I love the feminine take on masculine clothing. I wear basics like these all the time and try to buy classics that I can wear over and over such as a shirt or an oversized tee I think that this look is so effortless but can be quite hard to get right in some cases. I think that the top picture looks really nice the combo of oversized glasses with the baggy laid back clothing looks very chic.
