Lumberjack chic!

Lumberjack, or plaid shirts have been in fashion for ages now but they never seem to get old. I absolutely love them and they are such a great fashion staple piece to own. I have found a few pictures that encouraged me to buy my first plaid shirt which was a while ago now.
I love that you can wear them in so many ways and they make any outfit look good. A lot of the shirts are red in colour, however one of mine is blue after it was dyed by accident in the wash! It was originally white but I actually like it more now that it is blue!

Lyndsey Lohan and her friend both in plaid!
Vanessa Hudgens
Sarah Jessica Parker in a knotted plaid shirt.
And finally the best at wearing plaid, Mary-Kate.
And another look from Mary-Kate. Sorry about the picture quality.

london fashion week

One catwalk show that caught my eye in London Fashion week, was that of House of Holland show. I really like the use of pattern and colour. They have used tartan, leopard print and also snake skin boots. They have also kept on trend with the pastel colours and they have kept it looking grudgy and edgy with the laddered tights.

I like the colours of this dress
I like the decorated catwalk also

They have used pastels colours throughout this outift
The use of tartan has given an edgy look.

The Glitter Collar

One of the biggest fashion statements at the moment is the collar especially the Peter Pan collar. This is something that has been seen all over the runway. I found some glitter collars that fitted the trend as well as the bold colour trend that is big this year.
A collar does not have to be boring it can be something that gives an outfit an edge, especially one that is as bright as this.
I have also found a pastel coloured shirt with round studs and embellishments.
The first collar was from the website, http://www.refinery29.com/diy-glitter-collar.

Smokey eyes - Max Factor

Recently I have not really had the time to worry about new make-up trends or the time to do many posts for that matter. I have however found a product that I really like in the process it is the Max Factor smokey eye effect eyeshadow. It has been really good for getting a smokey eye in literally seconds!
I wear quite neutral make-up because I dont like the "plastic" look. This tool really helped me to have a graphic eye however you can wear it minimal as well. You can roughly line your eyes in one colour and use the other for more definition in the crease of your eye. It looks like it has took a lot longer but its actually really easy!
There is one snag to this however, this being that during the day it can start to smudge and if you line your lower eyes it can lead to you looking quite tired which I found out! This can probably be helped if you do not touch your eyes during the day however, and it also proves that the colour sticks to your eyes and doesnt dissapear completely like regular eyeshadow tends to.
Here are some other smokey eye looks I have found.

A picture of the various colours you can buy
in this product I have the one
 on the far left.
Kim Kardashian with great eyes and lips
she has used eyeliner as well.

toned down however.
