Chloe

Make-up used at the fashion show

Possibly my fav' look

Another fav' look

An interesting bag shape!

I have always been a fan of Chloe since I saw the fashion show (not actually there though i wud of liked to have been) A/W 2010 and ever since I have been following the clothes seen in each season. These are a few picks of the latest collection A/W 2011/2012. It is again very classic looking and looks expensive but understated which seems to be a theme with Chloe clothes and accessaries. I picked my two favourites looks from the Chloe Lookbook found on the chloe website, www.chloe.com .

French Plaits / Braids

French Plaits

Plaits seen at Alexandre Wang
The length I want!
I have only just found out from several You tube videos how to do a French Plait but I'm really loving the results. I really wish my hair would grow faster as I LOVE the length of the hair shown in the last picture just have to wait!
The first picture looks to have taken ages! Its almost perfect and looks amazing, I'm guessing that they simply did French plaits down each side of the head and then twisted the two plaits into a bun.
This look could easily be worn for a daily basis by having a side messy plait like the second and third pictures, this look is very undone but at the same time very chic.

My new bag! - Fringed

This is a new bag I bought its by Claudia Canova its a beige coloured leather fringed bag which I really love! I found similar ones on Kate Hudson and Mary-kate as shown.I think its bang on trend and fits with my love of boho style and easy understated chic.Fringed things are all over the place right now and it is gunna stay that way for a while i think! So get fringed!!

Boho Summertime

The boho look is my favourite I love the easy laid back style of it and the different textures and natural colours used. The video I take inspiration from is the "I hate this part" music video by the pussycat dolls it has a boho natural feel about it. I also loved the key earings shown in one of the pictures above which were featured on this video. I found the top pictures and loved them straight away!
The look is about being laid back and this also includes the hair, in both the video and these pictures the hair was long and messy with a slight wave. Nicole scherzinger had feathers in her hair and I think that this looks really good in her black, long, thick hair.

1970's comeback!

The original Floppy hat
The 70's flare (Charlies angels!)
Chloe campaigns 70's/80's inspired

More Chloe Campaigns

A look I love this season is the 1970's retake, with comebacks such as the felt floppy hat as shown in the first picture (which I love!) and the flaire as shown by the angels in the second picture.I was interested in this look in 2010 when the Chloe ranges s/s and a/w was 70's/80's inspired by using natural colours I also loved the hair and beauty on the a/w catwalk.

Erdem Hair

The look during the show
For a recent Erdem fashion show the hair and beauty theme was laid back and naturally gorgeous.
The star of the show however was the hair which had been plaited into an angelic halo around the head with exaggerated pulled out strands in order to make it look natural and girly. This was helped along by the very natural looking make-up which included no or hardly any mascara.I thought that this look is the type of thing I would love to recreate, especially the rosy glow of pink on the cheeks as it makes the look so fresh. I especially love the hair in the top picture however, especially the colour!
To recreate this look you could use a similar style which is milkmaid braids. To do this simply part your hair into two and braid each side into a normal plait. Then you simply put them both onto the top of your head ans secure with bobby pins. This would be much easier than the halo braids shown!

Real life comic book!

The finished look

The progression of the look

Real life vs Comic
This look isnt really that influential because I don't think I shall be recreating this look at home, however I came across this on the internet and thought it was really different and striking .This look was created by Mac on the inspiration of retro iconic comic book heroines. They have simulated everything from the pixelled face to the pixelled clothing which I think is totally individual and I really quite like, in fact love!
It is also very clever how they have used their make-up to draw along the outline of her face and neck to give the appearance of it being drawn by a marker pen. They have even followed the models hairline to really set off the bright yellow hair.
